Ogden Site Council

The school site council plays an important role in decision-making, and helps develop, review, and evaluate school improvement programs. The members of the site council are teachers, parents, community members, and the principal. We invite you to join us for this unique opportunity. Please call the school office or visit with Mrs. Simon.

Ogden Site Council Meeting Dates (meetings are from 5:15-6:15 p.m.) at the Ogden Elementary Library.

1. Schools are required to have a site council per Kansas Statute 72-5170 and USD 383 School Board Policy IB: School Site Councils.


2. School site councils are composed of the principal and representatives of teachers and other school personnel, parents of students attending the school, the business community and other community groups.


3. The focus of the school site council is to provide input and feedback during every
step of the School Improvement process including:

  • Review school/district/state performance goals and objectives
  • Monitor goal area progress and implementation of the District’s Strategic Plan
  • Make recommendations regarding budgetary items and school building matters
