Welcome to Ogden Elementary!

Our school is filled with amazing students and staff. Our mission is to create and sustain a learning environment that challenges students to grow cognitively, socially, and emotionally. Our vision is that our school community is committed to fostering a love of learning to ensure success in academics, behavior and social emotional skills, and communication. We foster a student-focused culture, partner with parents/guardians and community members to enrich learning, teach students self-advocacy, and personalize learning for all students to meet high standards.

There are many opportunities for our families to be involved with the school! We have our Parent Teacher Organization, which supports our school goals of improving math, reading, social emotional skills, and parent engagement. Our Site Council actively advises the school on numerous issues. We know that when our families are active with their child’s school, the student benefits. Other ways to be involved include having lunch with your child, participating in Parent Teacher Conferences, cheering your child on for music programs, and engaging with your student during our family nights (like Literacy Night and Multicultural Night).

A few areas we are focusing on here at Ogden Elementary are growing our reading and math skills as well as reducing our chronic absenteeism rates. We know that the partnership between school and home is vital to the success of students, especially in these three areas. Reading at home, playing reading and math games as a family, helping children get adequate sleep at night, and modeling and practicing self-regulation and good communication skills are great habits to make a priority at home.
